Well, today has been “one of those days”. The presence of Man Flu in the house has meant some change of plans had to occur, and thus there was no sewing machine session today, as Man Flu really prevents the sufferer from being able to entertain toddlers. Poor Mr. Skirty, hopefully he’ll feel better tomorrow.
So, the alternative plan kicked in:
make cookies to celebrate my Weight Loss. I’ve been actively fighting the flab since the beginning of the year and so far have managed to get rid of 10% of my original body weight. There’s still a long way to go, but I just love looking at this graph (scale not shown, sorry!):
Obviously very rich chocolate cookies with chocolate chips in them are going to create one of those little peaks in the ongoing graph over the next short while, but I promised myself I’d make them when I got to around this weight. Next target, lose 10% of my current weight in another two months. I can do it, yes I can! Apologies for the “taken with my smartphone” picture, but I thought it might be nice to show said artery hardening items and this is the only picture I took:
On the crafting front, I had a go at making some polymer clay buttons this evening for the lovely multicoloured item that I gave a sneak peek at in an earlier blog entry. Unfortunately they’re about three times too big, even though I think they’re brilliant, so I’m going to have to rethink my button making method, but in the meantime I’ll probably buy some for this particular item.
